Cat Profile: Lucian

We’ve had several pretty serious posts from the human recently, so I thought I’d pep up this blog with another one of my lovely Cat Profiles!

• Hobbies: Cryptography, jigsaw puzzles, judo
• Favorite Ride: Jungle Cruise
• Interesting Fact: Can spell the word “DANGER” really well.

Lucian is a jungle cat. Actually, let me clarify: Lucian is a Jungle Cruise cat. An intrepid adventurer, this handsome orange-and-white fellow can often be spotted along the attraction’s riverbed—lounging atop some of the props that line the queue area by Indiana Jones Adventure. Having conquered the Chamber of Earthly Riches, the Fountain of Eternal Youth, and the Observatory of the Future on that ride several times, Lucian is stuck being eternally young, has more money than he knows what to do with, and keeps getting deja vu. Now wiser than most humans, he often sits atop these crates and jugs and contemplates life. What Lucian really wants, though, is to be a Jungle Cruise skipper. As he watches the boats sail by and hears the same spiel over and over and over and over again, he can’t help but wonder why so few of the riders are laughing uproariously at the hilarious puns. He has determined that the skippers just must not be delivering the jokes right, and he is convinced he could do their job better. Unfortunately, while Lucian can understand English (and most other languages) perfectly, he can’t speak it to save his life. So for now, he’s simply another cat with a dream.
